Is mocking national defense assets like Rafale jets ever acceptable in political satire?

Political satire is a powerful tool, but where should the line be drawn? Congress leader Ajay Rai recently sparked controversy by displaying a toy Rafale jet adorned with “nimbu-mirchi,” suggesting that even these high-end defense tools need traditional protection under the BJP regime. While Congress claims it’s a symbolic protest against the government's failure to stop terror attacks like the one in Pahalgam, critics argue it trivializes serious defense matters.

Should matters involving national security—like fighter jets, army action, or border defense—be spared from satire? Or is it fair game in a democratic setup to hold the government accountable through all means, even satire? This poll asks you: do such gestures cross a line, or reflect the pulse of the public?
